Fun things to do for Christmas in the Cashiers-Highlands area.

Hard to believe it is December!  The Christmas season is upon us and there are many activities going on in and around our area.  If you don't have your Christmas tree yet, now is the perfect time to visit one of the many choose and cut farms in our area! This is a great family friendly event and will create memories for years to come!
Tom Sawyers Farm has some great tips on caring for your fresh tree along with another page for top 10 myths about trees.

You also don't want to miss the parades going on in our towns.  The Highlands parade is December 7th at 11am.  The Cashiers parade is the following Saturday, December 14th also at 11am.  The Cashiers parade starts at the Cornucopia restaurant and makes it way to the center of town, then turns left onto Hwy 64 and ends at the Community Center.  If you stay at Laurelwood Inn all you have to do is walk across the street for great viewing of the parade!

At the end of the Cashiers parade route there will be an event called "Cashiers Cares". This event benefits many of our local organizations. A free lunch and photos with Santa are a part of this event!
